Hi Kim! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney.
Having a family of six myself, I understand your concern. My family size means we always need more than one standard room when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. As a regular Guest, I have no way of knowing what type of reservation you hold. Since you mentioned you are supposed to have rooms next to each other, I am guessing that you indicated this request at the time you made your reservation. If so, you should be all set. Rooms are not assigned until the day of check-in. If you receive your room-ready notification prior to arriving at your hotel and the rooms are not connecting (the room numbers should be consecutive), simply stop at the front desk and let them know you need connecting rooms. If you arrive prior to receiving a room-ready notification, you may check in at the front desk in person and let them know of your request. While I can’t say that I can guarantee you will be placed in connecting rooms, I hope it puts your mind at ease to know that even though my children are no longer small, we have always been assigned connecting rooms when we have requested them. For larger groups who have reserved more than two rooms, it may not be possible for all rooms to be next to each other, but I assure you that small children will not be placed in a room by themselves away from the adults in your party.
If you would feel more confident confirming your request for connecting rooms ahead of your vacation, call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line at 407-939-1936. I know hold times can be long, so I recommend trying first thing in the morning. You can also try reaching a Cast Member using the chat feature in the upper right corner of the
Help Center page, or in the
My Disney Experience app. In the app use the menu button in the lower right corner to select “Chat with Us”.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. I am wishing you a wonderful vacation during
The World’s Most Magical Celebration!
