Hi Melissa,
Please, step inside to the dead center of the Moms Panel and allow us to welcome you! The schedule for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) for this year will likely not be released until the first party in mid-September. I've got to tell you, this is my favorite special event of the year-I went three times last year (full disclosure: I'm a Florida Resident, so we are really close to the Walt Disney World Resort).
As for tips, here are my top ones for you: even though your ticket says that the party starts at 7 p.m., you can actually enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. with your MNSSHP ticket. Take advantage of those extra few hours to grab some dinner or a few extra attractions while you're visiting!
Bring your own bag for trick-or-treating. The four of us managed to get 10 pounds of candy in one trip last year! We like the sports-type drawstring backpacks. They are a great way to tote your loot and still keep your hands free for other things...like unwrapping candy.
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and Happy HalloWishes are both excellent and worth taking the time to see. If you watch the parade in Frontierland like I did last year, you might have a chance to see the Cadaver Dans sing a few songs in their Barbershop style, which is so much fun!
A new feature this year on the Cinderella Castle stage is the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and I'm sure it will be a fantastic show. I am looking forward to it and will be sure to not miss it.
Lastly, the best part of MNSSHP is the crowds-we walked on to just about every attraction last year and had a fantastic time! As the evening wore on, the crowds thinned out even more, so stay until the end if you can and enjoy it!
Melissa, I hope you have a spook-tacular time!
Best HalloWishes,
Amy B.
