Thanks so much for stopping by the
Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about Disney Gift Cards, Jacqueline! I'm so genuinely happy to hear you will be going on your FIRST Disney World trip ever!
You can definitely use a
Disney Gift Card to pay for those experiences. Disney Gift Cards are super flexible; once you arrive, you will see that you can use them almost everywhere to pay for almost everything at the
Walt Disney World® Resort (including
Disney Springs®, the
Water Parks, and
Resort hotels). I'm so glad to hear your son will be getting many of these for his birthday as he will be then able to use them to pay for anything he might need, merchandise, dining, recreation, tours, etc.. Keep in mind though that some carts and other outdoor merchandise vendors may not be able to accept your gift cards as a payment method, so the best thing to do is to always ask a Cast Member before making your purchase.
If your son will be celebrating his birthday during your trip, or will have recently celebrated his birthday, have him wear the Happy Birthday button (which you can get at Guest Relations or your resort lobby) somewhere visible so that other guests and Cast Members can join in the celebrations. Besides, you never know when Tinker Bell may sprinkle some extra pixie dust on him!
Jacqueline, I hope this information helps. Please come back with more questions as you continue to plan your first vacation, we are delighted to help!
