We are super excited to dine at CRT. Our girls are ready to go with their Cinderella dresses and tiaras. My 11 year old son does NOT have any love for the princesses! Ugh! Any ideas on how to make CRT special for him? Mickey help!!

    Hello, Megan!

You will feel like you've stepped into a fairytale the moment you step inside beautiful Cinderella Castle! Cinderella's Royal Table is my family's favorite Character Dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I am so pleased you were able to secure reservations for this popular experience.

The Disney Princesses do an excellent job of including the whole family in the royal meet 'n' greet experience, and I'm sure they will be able to get a smile or laugh out of your oldest son during your visit. I'm sure you know your son better than anyone, and if you are concerned that he may feel left out during this experience, there are a few things you can do to make him feel just as included as the little princesses in your family.

The first thing I'd like to recommend is putting your son in charge of presenting the autograph book and pen to each Disney Princess. He would be doing a big favor for his little sisters by making sure he gathers these very important autographs -- plus it would help him to get more involved in each royal interaction.

If he's the shy or reserved type, he may feel more comfortable being in charge of taking pictures of his sisters interacting with their favorite Disney Princesses. I'm the most introverted person in my family, and there's just something so comforting about having the lens of a camera to peer through in especially exciting social situations. Perhaps you could present your son with a new camera, and declare him the VIP of the family vacation (Very Important Photographer)! You will make some wonderful memories here, and his pictures could end up being your favorite souvenirs for years to come.

I hope you and your family have an extra-magical visit to Cinderella's Royal Table, Megan! Please don't hesitate to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before your trip.
