Salagadoola, menchicka boola, Lauren, and welcome to planDisney! Like Fairy Godmothers, we wave our wands to help guests have magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacations. So let's bibbidi-bobbidi-boo this!
Since you'll be taking your pumpkin coach across the country, I'm sure you're only packing the essentials, like glass slippers and scrubbing brushes. But I have good news! You can go ahead and pack that MagicBand 2 because it should work just fine during your visit. The batteries in that version will eventually deplete, but they typically last a few years. Since yours sounds relatively new, have Gus and Jaq pack it for you!
While those older bands will still function as your Disney Resort Hotel room key and theme park admission, they might not automatically link to some attraction photos. I suggest picking up a complimentary PhotoPass card from
Guest Relations or a friendly photographer. The images from my visits are like sparkling memories for me, so I don't want you to risk losing yours...at midnight or any other time!
Lauren, if you find your band isn't working as it should, I recommend using
Disney MagicMobile service on your phone. This handy feature transforms your phone into a MagicBand. You can use it as your room key, theme park ticket, and more. It will even link those PhotoPass images!
You can also buy a new
MagicBand+ at most merchandise locations. You'll link it to your account using its serial number, and it makes a great souvenir. The new bands are rechargeable and offer fun interactive features. I love my 2023-themed MagicBand+ because that's the year I became a planDisney panelist. Talk about feeling like Cinderella!
I hope I've reassured you that your band "can do magic, believe it or not!" Lauren, I'm sprinkling pixie dust all around so you have a fabulous trip. Please stop by
planDisney anytime; we're the thingamabob that does the job!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
