Is the Sunrise Safari at AKL available for club level guests at any Disney hotel or only AKL club level guests? I have found both options in responses in searching recent Moms Panel questions. Thanks!

    Hi Leslie,

This is a great question as there are so many wonderful tours at Animal Kingdom! I asked the cast members at Animal Kingdom for the official word.

The Sunrise Safari at Animal Kingdom is available for club level guests staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge only. Depending on park opening time, you will head out early in the morning to tour the savanna. Along the way you will talk to animal program cast members and you will need to transfer to a jeep. While this tour does go slower than the ride park guests experience, it is recommended that guests with health issues or are pregnant should pass on the experience or talk with their doctor. You will be treated to a buffet breakfast afterwards. It is available to guests of all ages.

The Wanyama Safari is available to all guests age 8 and older and is limited to 12 guests. After an afternoon tour of the savanna, you will be treated to a wonderful family style meal at Jiko, The Cooking Place.

Both tours can be booked 180 days in advance and you can not use a meal plan credit for the meal. You can call the cast members at Animal Kingdom Lodge Itinerary Planning at 407-938-4755. They can provide you with current times and pricing.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
