Welcome aboard, Norine! When your family sets sail on the beautiful Disney Dream, pack your appetite, because there will be so many culinary creations to try onboard! Dining aboard Disney's ships is so special, and part of that is due to the amazingly themed full service restaurants like Animator's Palate, Enchanted Garden and Royal Palace.
Did you know that Disney Cruise Line features Rotational Dining? This means that your family will be assigned a different restaurant each night for dinner, and as you rotate through the three restaurants, your same dining servers will meet you there. We love getting to know our dining service team, and they get to know us and our preferences. I think you're going to really love this feature of cruising and dining with Disney! There is
suggested attire for dinners, which you can read a bit more about on the website. But, jackets are not required in the restaurants. However, should you and your husband be planning to sneak away from the kids for a romantic meal at one of the two Adult Exclusive restaurants onboard, they each have their own dress code, and
Remy does require a jacket for men.
That being said, on the optional dress up night, guests tend to wear more dressy outfits, and some men do wear jackets to dinner, but others simply wear a dress shirt or shirt and tie. It's your vacation, so dress the way you feel most comfortable, keeping in mind the suggested attire. Usually, my husband wears a polo shirt and khakis or a dress shirt and khakis to dinner, as does my son. My daughter and I wear casual dresses and skirts. We dress up more on the dress up nights.
I hope that helps as you prepare to head out to sea, Norine! Please stop back if you have other questions before your cruise! We're happy to help!
