Suggestions for our first day @AK? we'll be doing the Halloween party at MK later in the evening, Will be her 10th birthday and doing the Wild Animal Trek earlier in the morning. what's a good plan for meals and activities?

Hi, Marcie!  What a great way to spend a tenth birthday!

You'll get your first meal during your Wild Africa Trek.  A nice array of snacks are offered during this excursion, and it's a great way to kick off your morning.  If you are hoping for something more substantial in the breakfast area, see if you can get a reservation for Tusker House.  This delicious buffet features some favorite characters and is lots of fun.  You could even opt for lunch here.

Some of my Animal Kingdom must dos include Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and It's Tough to be a Bug.  I'd also recommend the safari tour, even though you'll see some animals during your morning trek.

Dinner could go a couple of ways.  If you're returning to your hotel to change into costumes, you might want to grab a quick meal there.  You could get a great quick service meal at Flame Tree Barbecue before you leave Animal Kingdom.  We usually grab dinner at the Magic Kingdom, though, on the nights of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  I like Liberty Tree Tavern, and I usually schedule it right before the first parade.  When you're done eating, you can step right out and see the parade.  That leaves you the whole night to trick or treat!

    Have a great time!
