Welcome aboard, Sharon, and thank you for sailing on by with your question. Hopefully, we can give you a great answer, and you'll be shipshape and ready for your cruise next year.
Disney Cruise Line doesn't have a recommended gratuity for most of the Concierge staff. There are
suggestions for gratuities for most of the Cast Members you'll encounter, but when it comes to the concierge hosts, lounge host, and lounge bartender, it's really left up to your discretion.
Some guests prefer to tip per service. They'll tip per each drink they are served, or they'll give the concierge hosts tips as they use their assistance. Other guests may opt to do just one tip at the end of the cruise for each host, while others tip a lump sum at the end for them all to split.
The amount will generally vary by the number of days you are sailing and the number of people in your stateroom. I have seen lump sum tips range from $100 for the concierge team on a short cruise to upwards of $500 on a seven-night. But again, this really is up to your discretion and based upon the services you request.
If you have other questions, Sharon, we're more than happy to help, or you can even reach out to the Concierge Service Specialists, who are available Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 until 5:30. They can be reached by phone at (866) 784-1654.
Your trip is just on the horizon, Sharon, and I hope you have nothing but smooth sailing as you plan your adventure!
Anna
