I see that you suggest staying in buildings 14, 15. or 18 at the Port Orleans Riverside. I plan on booking a Royal Room. Are your suggestions pool or river views? I looked at the map and it looks like the pool and river are both in the middle.

    Alison,

I can't recall ever having to make that particular choice, but I do have my opinions. I try to avoid pool views. I have smaller kids, and even though they are past afternoon naps, I do still require they get some afternoon "quiet time" to recharge and re-energize for the evening. Pool views almost always lead to excessive ambient noise that I think outweighs the benefits of quick pool access and fun views.

I would go for the river, as you get a nice, themed view, but you are not so far away from amenities that you feel isolated.

BIG NOTE: I think that all the Royal Rooms are located in the Magnolia Bend side of the resort. Specifically they are in Buildings 90 (Oak), and 95 (Parterre). Of these, I would request building 90 to be closer to amenities. So you may not get that pool vs. river choice, though there is a quiet pool between these two buildings.

I hope that this helps? Have fun in the Royal room!

    Have a magical vacation!
