Hi Scott!
The Disney Dining Plan (DDP) is a great option for saving money on food throughout Walt Disney World. Meals can vary in price, depending upon if you choose a quick service or table service option. Even within those categories the price can vary greatly. I suggest that you check out the Walt Disney World site under "Where to Eat" and look at the various restaurants. Each restaraunt will have dollar signs next to the description, indicating the price per person.
For example,
La Hacienda de San Angel is two $$, indicating $15 to $35.99 per person. This is a Table Service location. If you were to eat at a Table Service meal everyday or multiple times a day, this can add up, but the DDP will save you a ton of money on eating out.
There are also tons of healthy eating options throughout Walt Disney World! There is fresh fruit available throughout the parks, you can also choose a fresh pineapple wedge from Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom. Several of the resorts have yogurt options for breakfast, including a build your own yogurt bar at Art of Animation. There is also usually a salad on the menu at many locations, including a delish Caesar Salad at the American Pavillion in Epcot. You can always ask for no dressing or croutons on your salad, making it a healthier option. Disney is great about accommodating special diet requests, so if you want dressing on the side, no sauce or no butter, just ask for what you need.
Magically,
Stacy
