Hello. Can you suggest a good inside cabin number on the Disney Dream to avoid sea sickness? Thank you!

    Ahoy, Stephanie!

When planning for your first cruise vacation, there are so many factors to consider. As far as a room to avoid seasickness, I cannot guarantee anything.

I can, however, give some suggestions. First of all, if you have someone in your cruise party has a history of motion sickness, they should visit a physician before your trip and perhaps get a prescription medication. If you are not sure about sickness, plan ahead and bring medicine. You might also consider bringing sea bands, which help tremendously with sickness.

I have found that there is less movement of the ship in the middle (midship). I typically book a stateroom that is midship and on a middle level (6 on the Magic and Wonder, 8 on the Dream and Fantasy). Since you are considering an inside stateroom on the Disney Dream, you will have a "magic porthole", which will have real-time views of the ocean. This often helps with seasickness as well.

I have a friend who was feeling "icky" on our cruise. She found that being lower in the ship made her feel worse. She also swears by the sea bands on her wrists.

You can look up stateroom maps to find the ideal location for you. I wish you the best! And, NO seasickness!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
