I successfully paired the Magic Band + to the phone but in the MDE app it still shows as “not connected” next to the battery symbol and when I try to change settings it just spins and spins and never works. I tried turning BT off/on and holding button.

    Hiya, Todd! Welcome to planDisney!

Can you believe that you're only a few sleeps away from your magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort? I couldn't be more excited for you! I'm happy to hear that you're putting the finishing touches on your trip, but I'm so sorry you're having difficulty pairing your MagicBand+ with your My Disney Experience account. I'd love to try to help!

    • First, make sure that you have the latest, most updated version of the My Disney Experience app. This can help your MagicBand+ pair easier.
    • Make sure that your MagicBand+ software is also up to date. You can check this in your My Disney Experience app. To do this, tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner, then tap "Magicbands and More." While here, you can also tap your name to make sure that your MagicBand+ has been successfully paired to your account. If you see your MagicBand+ here, you may try to tap "Pair." If you don't, you can tap "Pair Your MagicBand+" on the previous screen.
    • Be sure that your Bluetooth connection is on and that your MagicBand+ is charged.
    • Try to power your MagicBand+ on and off to reset. To do this, press and hold the button on the back of the band until it buzzes twice. If it was successfully turned off, the LED light with turn red and rotate once in reverse. Press and hold the button for one second to power it back on (you should see a solid green light).
    • If you've tried the above steps, you can also try to factory reset your MagicBand+. If you'd like to try this, press the button once, then quickly follow with a second press that you hold down for 15 seconds (you should feel three buzzes). Your MagicBand+ will glow with rainbow colors to indicate that it's restarting. The lights will turn off, then flash green, and you'll know your factory reset is complete.
    • Follow the steps to pair your MagicBand+ to your My Disney Experience app.
Todd, I hope that this helps you to successfully set up your MagicBand+! If you need more assistance, you can always feel free to reach out to a friendly Cast Member. They'll do everything they can to provide you with some next steps!

Wishing you the very best on your upcoming trip!
