Have you had success in getting your child(ren) signed up for BOTH the parade and Jedi Training Academy during a Star Wars weekend? If yes, what was the secret to your success? Thanks!

    Hi Alexandra!

The trick for getting your child selected for the Jedi Training Academy is:

    1. Arrive at the parks early and head straight for the Sounds Dangerous area (across from Star Tours) as soon as you enter the park. Spots fill up quickly so make this your first stop.

    2. Have our child with you during the sign p process

    3. Encourage your child to interact with the Cast Member and show his/her personality. They want to ensure the children wont get stage fright or be too shy to interact during the show.

As far as getting selected as the family to be in the Magic Kingdom parade, this really boils down to luck and being in the right place at the right time because the selection of guests isn't based on certain criteria. However, you can increase the likelihood by:

    1. Arrive early, prior to rope drop

    2. Show a lot of energy

    3. Do something unique, such as all dressing alike

    4. Interact and chat with cast members at the rope drop area. Best of luck to you and your family!
