Hello, Doug!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. I am so glad you booked the
Disney Cruise Line Onboard Booking Offer during your last voyage! I always make a Placeholder Reservation, even if I do not know when I will be sailing on a Disney Cruise again. If I cannot use the placeholder, then it is usually refunded back to the original form of payment 24 months after I made the reservation. However, I love sailing on the
Disney Cruise Line, and having a placeholder gives me the perfect excuse to book another Disney Cruise!
You should have received a Placeholder Reservation Confirmation Email that contained your reservation number. The email also provides instructions for using the placeholder to book your next cruise if you did not reserve a specific cruise at the time of purchase. My recent confirmation email directed me to call Disney Cruise Line once I choose a cruise itinerary. If you did not receive that email,
call Disney Cruise Line and they can assist you.
The placeholder allows Guests to enjoy a discount off prevailing rates on the Disney Cruise Line website for a future cruise (subject to change). As part of this offer, Guests sailing on cruises that are 7 nights and longer can often access a reduced deposit. The offer is usually valid for up to 2 staterooms on one sail date per household. It sounds like a great deal to me!
Doug, I hope you book your next Disney Cruise soon! Sailing on the Disney Cruise Line is always so much fun for my family!
Happy sailing!
Jen
