Hello Sharon! Welcome to planDisney!
Wow! Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up so soon! I wish I was in your shoes and my countdown to magic was as small as yours. We're planning a trip for next spring but right now that feels so far away! As a mom of three, I know that the decision to either bring or rent a stroller is a big one. On our family vacation last summer we brought our own stroller for our toddler but quickly found out that there's no tired like "Disney" tired when our six-year-old spent A LOT of time in it too!
You'll find that the
strollers available for rent inside each of the Theme Parks at Walt Disney World Resort are very durable and easy to maneuver. Even with an older or larger child, I've found that pushing them is a breeze, which is so nice when Mom and Dad might be tired at the end of a magical day. The strollers do not have storage underneath but do have small storage pouches on the back of each seat. I've noticed that some parents choose to rent a double stroller and use the extra space for storage or tend to place items near the child's feet. You could also bring a stroller hook to clip on your own bag to the handle of the stroller.
If you're searching for a stroller with more storage options but don't want to lug it from home, you might think of renting one from Disney's featured provider, ScooterBug, or even another third-party company. These companies will work with Cast Members at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to schedule drop-offs and pickups even if you're not present.
Another thing to think about is whether or not you'll want your stroller outside of the Theme Parks. Some Guests love using them within the Parks but don't need to take them back to their Resort. In this case, I'd suggest renting from Disney. If you would rather take your stroller back to your Resort another rental company will be the better option as Disney stroller rentals have to stay within the Theme Parks. The nice thing is if you pay for a Disney stroller rental at one Park in the morning you can still switch Parks with a
Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket and pick up a new stroller at your second Park without paying again. Just show your receipt from the morning!
I hope this information was helpful, Sharon. Please come back and see us again if you have any other planning questions!
