Ahoy, Shelly!
Thank you for sailing back with more great questions about your Western Caribbean Cruise! My family experienced this same itinerary just a few months ago, so I'm happy to provide you with some details about what to expect when this ship is docked in these fabulous ports of call.
All three of these islands offer shopping close to the ship, and I recommend grabbing a Port Shopping Map with specific cruise line recommendations as you disembark the ship (look for them by the gangway). In Cozumel, head straight down the Punta Langosta Pier, and you'll find shopping all along the street that runs parallel to the ship. In the Cayman Islands, you'll have to take a boat (tender) over to the Tender Pier where you'll find a shopping area just across the street. Jamaica offers the closest shopping as the stores are just steps from the gangway. When the ship docks, you'll see what I mean!
The
Cayman Dolphin Extreme Swim is an excellent choice for your visit to Grand Cayman. My family participated in a similar excursion in Cozumel, and it was a lot of fun interacting with these amazing creatures up-close. I was a little nervous about being pulled by the dolphin, but it was exhilarating! The pictures are a bit pricey, but well worth the expense to have your interactions captured by the photographers! Your husband can absolutely join you, but will need to purchase the
Cayman Dolphin Observer Port Adventure. It will cover his transportation to Dolphin Discovery and a viewing spot about 50 feet way from the water.
Shelly, we hope you'll continue to reach out as you think of more questions about your vacation with Mickey and the gang. We always are happy to help!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
