Is there a way to stop having the magic bands shipped or assigned to us? We have taking three trips since the inception and testing of the magic bands and we have a total of 12 magic bands assigned to a family of 4.

    Hi Scott,

I'm in a similar situation. After a bunch of recent trips, I now have a full set of all the colors of MagicBands. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism in place for frequent visitors to opt out of receiving new bands. Right now, Disney resort guests will receive a new set for every trip.

My personal strategy is to keep them all active and bring several with me for each trip. This way I can coordinate my MagicBand with my outfit. You should also bear in mind that the MagicBand batteries do have a finite shelf life, so your older Bands will eventually become inactive.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
