I've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge Villas several times. I think you'll be thrilled with the accommodations. The one bedroom villas do have a fully separate bedroom with a door that closes. You can put the kiddos to bed and then stay up in the living room and not disturb them. From the Wilderness Lodge, the main transportation to the Magic Kingdom is by boat. You get on the boat at the dock area at the WL. If you're facing the lake, this is just to the left of the pool (they'll give you a map when you check in). The boats run about every 20 mins, beginning about an hour before park opening and ending an hour after park closing. The ride itself takes between 10-15 minutes and drops you just steps away from the Magic Kingdom entrance turnstiles.
Hope this helps.
