Staying w/ our 4&2 yr olds@ p.o riverS. 4/22 for 4 nights. Since we will have our car do you think we should take the bus or drive over to park ourselves? Thinking of renting baby jogger double (not mini my boys are big) is it good for parks/transport?

    Hi Elizabeth!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

You are going to love Port Orleans - Riverside! You will feel like you are transformed to New Orleans, between the beautiful river, surrey bikes and divine cajun food at Boatwright's Dining Hall.

Every guest staying at a Walt Disney World resort receives a parking pass so they can park for free at any of the parks. This is a great perk to staying on site and I definitely recommend taking advantage of it if you have your own car.

My family has tried it both ways, and while we love the Disney transportation and it can be extremely convenient, with two little ones in tote, it is easier to drive to the park yourselves. You can put the jogging stroller in the back of your car and not worry about fitting your kids, stroller and bags on the bus. You can rent a double stroller in the park, which is extremely convenient because you don't have to worry about hauling it back and forth between your resort and park. When my kids were little, I actually bought a lightweight stroller just for Disney so that I could easily sling it over my shoulder when they weren't riding in it.

Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!

    Magically,
    Stacy
