You’re right! With
military tickets, you will need to make park reservations for the first park you plan to visit each day. You can do so by clicking the (+) button at the bottom of your
My Disney Experience app, then clicking Make or Modify Park Reservations.
When using a
park hopper, after you scan into the park where you’ve made your park reservation, you will be able to hop to any other park (pending park capacity). So, yes! You can make your park reservation for Epcot, then take the Monorail over to Magic Kingdom.
With that being said, it’s good to note that when coming from
Yacht Club, you’ll enter Epcot through the International Gateway entrance at the back of Epcot. Then you’ll need to walk to the front of the park to board the
Monorail. From there, you’ll take the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then transfer Monorail lines to complete the trip to the Magic Kingdom.
While it’s a fun journey and experience, it does take a decent amount of time. If you’re hoping to get to Magic Kingdom quicker, I’d recommend hopping on the bus from Yacht Club to Magic Kingdom. If you go that route, make sure your park reservation is for Magic Kingdom instead of Epcot if that's the first park you'll visit that day.
