Welcome to planDisney, Michael!
My family recently stayed at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort and we absolutely loved it! Not only did we love getting to walk to EPCOT and take the boat to Disney's Hollywood Studios, but we spent more than our fair share of time at the fabulous Stormalong Bay.
Michael, you are correct that if you have a
Park Hopper ticket you will only be able to enter the theme park that you have a
Disney Park Pass system reservation in before 2:00 pm. Once 2:00 pm hits, you are welcome to head over to another theme park. Michael, one other thing that you may want to know is that not only must it be after 2:00 pm, but you must also have entered that theme park that you have a Disney Park Pass system reservation for.
In your case, that means that you must head over to EPCOT each day of your trip and tap into the park before you can go to a different park.
While I do love the proximity of EPCOT to Disney's Yacht Club Resort, I would suggest that you try to change a few of your Disney Park Pass system reservations to other theme parks. I find that my family needs two days at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom, and one day at EPCOT and one day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you have older kids, you could absolutely get away with two days at EPCOT.
It is possible that you will not be able to Park Hop due to capacity, but I will say that it has never been an issue for our family. Unless you are traveling during a big event, I think you will be fine.
I just know that you will have a wonderful stay, Michael!
See you real soon!
