We're staying at the Yacht Club and have early dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's after our first full day at the parks (and a nap in the room for our toddler). What is the quickest way to get from our resort to the Contemporary? Thanks!

    Hi Melissa,

We love Chef Mickey's and what a great way to start your Walt Disney World vacation with your toddler. The character meals are our favorite way to meet the characters. The easiest way we have found to get to the Contemporary resort from the Yacht Club is to take the Disney bus from the Yacht Club to the Magic Kingdom. Once you are at the Magic Kingdom there are two great options. One is you can take the resort monorail, that is right by the Magic Kingdom entrance, to the Contemporary resort and exit inside the Contemporary. The other choice is there is a sidewalk path that runs from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary resort. The walk is not far but may be to much for your toddler if you are not using a stroller.

When you are finished with dinner and returning to the Yacht Club, a fun option depending on your plans, might be to take a little longer way home thru Epcot. You can catch the monorail inside the Contemporary to the Ticket and Transportation Center (the next stop), exit at the Ticket and Transportation Center and switch to the Epcot monorail. Once at Epcot, you can enter thru the front gates and walk back to the exit to the Yacht Club resort area while enjoying Epcot along the way.

    Enjoy,
    Margaret
