    Staying at the yacht club, what is the most convenient way to get home after park closure? I understand the hotel is walking distance from Epcot and HS. What about MK and AK with 2 tired/asleep kids in double stroller? Bus or car (preferred parking)? Thx

    Renate,

    Thanks for your question! Knowing how to get home with two tired kids is planning time well spent, and it will make your trip a lot more enjoyable!

    Let's look, park-by-park, for the best way for you to get back to Disney's Yacht Club Resort;

    • Magic Kingdom Park: Technically you could monorail from here to Epcot, after a change in Monorail routes. Then you have to walk through Epcot to the International Gateway, and back to the resort, which would be a bit more than 1.5 km. Personally, I think that with the improvements in the buses, I would just ride that back to your resort. With tired kids and a stroller, that route will entail fewer hassles.
    • Epcot: This is the easy one. Definitely just walk back to your resort hotel by leaving Epcot from the International Gateway, located between the United Kingdom and France pavilions. It is about a 550 meter walk, so not bad to do with a stroller.
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios: This walk back to your resort is noticeably longer; about 1.6 km. If it were me, I would take the boats back, if the lines were not too long. This would drop you off basically at your resort. You could also take the Disney Skyliner that would drop you off by that same International Gateway mentioned in the Epcot route.
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park:  As with the Magic Kingdom, the best way back is the bus. The lines to get a bus may be a bit long at then end of a park day, but it will be the most convenient.
    In all these examples I use Disney transportation. However, if you have your own car I would say that in the case of both the Magic Kingdom and from the Animal Kingdom you might find using that car preferable to the buses. The time spent would be far shorter, and with a crowded bus you would not have to take the kids out of the stroller. The buses are a perfectly fine option, but in these two cases the personal car is better.

    I hope that this helps? Write me back if you have any follow up questions!
