Hi, I will be staying at the WL next january. My little daughter had a kidney surgery last year, she is great, but she needs to eat without salt. Is there any chance to ask this kind of request to hotels or restaurants inside Walt Disney World?

    Hi Laura!

Disney has a great history of accommodating all types of dietary restrictions, from allergies to kosher meals. They are aware that there are many guests who are adhering to certain diets, and will work with all guests to make sure that their needs are met.

When you make your dining reservations on the Disney website, there is a box that can be checked to alert the chefs/dining staff that your party has a guest that will be adhering to a no salt diet. When you arrive at your restaurant, you can speak to the server and make sure that it is noted that you are requesting no salt added to the meal. They will then bring the chef to speak with you and the chef will come up with some fantastic alternatives for your daughter to indulge in. They are extremely sensitive to diets and will make sure to accommodate her as needed.

Prior to your arrival, make sure that you phone (407) WDW-DINE and make sure that you've added the no salt request to your reservations.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie
