We will be staying at Ft Wilderness. I was wondering if it might be quicker & easier to drive as opposed to interpark busses to go from Ft Wilderness to all parks (except Magic Kingdom). Can we do that? Will I have to pay to park at each?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda! I’m happy to hear that you will be staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! It’s my family’s favorite place to stay when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort!

One of the many benefits of being a Disney Resort hotel guest is complimentary transportation to all four theme-parks and Disney Springs. The transportation is convenient and most times you have more than one way to get to the theme park of your choice. For example, if your family wanted to visit Epcot for the day, you could take the ferry from your resort to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom Park and hop on the monorail to get to Epcot. No driving required!

Linda, if you did want to drive to any of the theme parks, you can absolutely do that. As a Disney Resort hotel guest, standard parking at all four theme parks is complimentary!

There’s also a really fun way that you and your family can get around Disney’s Fort Wilderness property. Did you know that it’s the only property at the Walt Disney World Resort where you can rent an electric golf cart? You can reserve one ahead of time or see if any are available at the Reception Outpost right after you check-in to your resort.

My family and I love to use a golf cart to get around our resort. We even decorate it with Christmas lights when we visit during the holidays!

I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning. Please feel free to come back to see us soon. Helping you figure out all the details of your magical stay is our favorite thing to do!
