    We will staying at the wilderness lodge villas from 1/21 - 1/27. We have two 8am ADR at CP. MK doesn't open till 9am both days. Do the boats run early enough to make this reservation? Thank you

    Hi Robin!

    Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Villas is one of my family’s favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts! We love the rustic atmosphere, and the boat transportation to Magic Kingdom is an attraction on its own.

    Service directly from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom using the red flag motor launch begins 30 minutes prior to park opening.  Bus service begins approximately 1 hour prior to park opening. Unfortunately, neither one of these options would get you directly to the Magic Kingdom in time for your Advance Dining Reservation at The Crystal Palace.

    You can however, use the blue flag motor launch which begins operating at 6:45 am daily. This motor launch services Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You could use this service and get off at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, then use the walking path from the resort to walk to the Magic Kingdom. I would leave yourself plenty of time for this method, so you don’t feel too rushed, but a quiet boat ride sounds like the perfect way to start a Disney day!

    There will be a special entrance once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom for those with Advance Dining Reservations. If you can, take a moment to get a quick family picture with a practically empty Main Street, U.S.A. before you enjoy your morning with friends from the Hundred Acre Wood!
