Hi there! We are staying at Wilderness Lodge May 24-26 and have a reservation for Hoopdeedoo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. Is the boat transportation between resorts open during that time?

    Hi Kelsey!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney!  I bet you are so excited about your upcoming stay at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  If you haven't already done so, don't forget that you can complete the online check-in process in your My Disney Experience Mobile App which will allow you to use Disney's Direct-to-Room Service on your arrival day!

Kelsey, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of my favorite dinners at Walt Disney World Resort.  Not only will you get to enjoy a rootin', tootin' good time with the Pioneer Hall Players, but the food is incredible.  While it may be tempting to fill up on that delicious cornbread and fried chicken, you'll want to make sure you also save room for dessert as the strawberry shortcake is the perfect end to your meal!

When I last visited the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue in December, I was able to take a boat directly from Wilderness Lodge to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for the 4:00 PM show.  This is part of the Blue Flag Route and I confirmed with a Cast Member that it typically operates between 3:00 PM and 10:45 PM each day.  While you should find boats running in the afternoon and evening, it's important to remember that transportation (especially boat transportation) can sometimes be impacted by weather or other unexpected closures and/or delays.  I would recommend stopping by the Front Desk to confirm the latest water transportation schedule when you arrive for your stay.  If you would find that boats are not running for any reason, Cast Members will be happy to assist you by sharing alternative transportation options to consider.

If you're looking for another wonderful dining option during your visit, I'd suggest checking for reservations at Story Book Dining at Artist Point, which is located inside Wilderness Lodge.  Snow White and friends will join you throughout this character meal, and you'll be presented with a special invitation at the end of your meal to meet The Queen!  The food here is quite the culinary experience.  I took my server's recommendation and ordered the pork shank which was fabulous.  This dinner definitely feels like a meal meant for royalty!

I hope this information has been helpful, Kelsey, and that you enjoy making many magical memories during your upcoming visit!  You're always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney, so please stop by to see us again if you have any other questions!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
