Hi Cindy,
We love Wilderness Lodge. It is our home Disney Vacation Club property, and I love the immediate feeling that you have landed in the northern woods, that occurs the minute you step into the towering wooden lobby.
Personally I think there is a great selection of breakfast options at the resort. The merchandise shop sells a selection of items you can keep in your room like doughnuts, pop tarts and cereal and milk. The Roaring Forks is the counter service option just off the main lobby. You will be able to purchase muffins and bagels and other grab and go choices. They also offer a small hot selection menu that typically offers eggs, pancakes and more. There is a rather large area with tables and chairs for you to sit and fuel up before hitting the parks. Now if you are looking for a hearty start to the day, I highly recommend the all you can eat skillet at Whispering Canyon Cafe. This restaurant is a table service location right in the main WiIderness Lodge lobby. It is a fun, family friendly setting with delicious and very filling breakfast skillets. Yummy!
Both of these locations are included on the Disney Dining Plan, as well as Artist Point, which is located in the Wilderness Lodge but offers a dinner menu only. You can find a current list of the locations participating in the Disney Dining Plan
here.
Hope you have an amazing time and don't forget to ask at check-in about the possibility of being the WIlderness Lodge family of the day!
