We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge at the end of May, wondering if boat or bus is faster to Magic Kingdom. What time do they each start running? We will be traveling with a stroller. Hoping to come back to the hotel midday and back to MK in the pm.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica! I’m so happy to see you planning away for your trip at the end of May. Have you started a countdown yet?

    Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
is a beautiful place to stay and its proximity to the Magic Kingdom Park makes it so convenient too!

Jessica, your best bet to make it to the Magic Kingdom Park with the shortest commute time, is by using Walt Disney World Water Transportation or the water taxi located at your resort. You and your family can enjoy a pleasant and direct ride across the Seven Seas Lagoon right to the entrance of the park. The best part is, it will only take about 15 minutes, max! When it comes to your stroller, you will be asked to collapse it on the smaller boats to make room for other passengers. I do think your little one will enjoy the view, think of it as an attraction in itself!

When you’re wanting to return to your resort for your child’s all-important nap, rest assured you can walk right to the pavilion located in front of the Magic Kingdom Park to catch a water taxi back to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. The routes run on 15 to 30-minute intervals.

Jessica, it’s important to remember that water transportation begins about 30 minutes before the theme park opens and will run about an hour after the theme park closes.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Have a magical visit!
