Howdy, Kellie!
It sounds like you are ready to become a full-fledged Wilderness Explorer at
Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds! Now, to earn your first badge, you need to complete an exercise in navigation! If Kevin stole your compass, no worries, we are here to help!
While you will not be able to drive your golf cart over to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you have 3 alternative transportation options.
Your first option is to take the yellow line bus, that connects Ft. Wilderness and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This bus is great if you do not want to mess with parking, or if your kids are like mine and beg to take the "Mickey Bus" everywhere you go.
Your second, and perhaps the most convenient option is to drive your own car between the two resorts. You will not be charged to park at Disney's Wilderness Lodge as you are not an overnight guest; however, you will be allowed to park to visit family that is staying there. Simply have your family give your name to the front desk and they will pass it along to the security Cast Members.
Your final, and most scenic option, is to take the
boat transportation from Disney's Ft. Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom and then switch boats at the Magic Kingdom to head to the Wilderness Lodge. You can do the same in reverse to return back to your resort.
I just know that you will have a rootin' tootin' good time earning your Wilderness Explorer's badge, Kellie! Keep an eye out for Dug and remember, "Adventure is Out There!"
