Welcome aboard, Freedy!
One of the best parts about sailing with Disney Cruise Line is that they make the transitions from land to sea and back again super easy and stress-free! My family and I love to spend a few days at the Walt Disney World Resort before we set sail out of Port Canaveral. I'm really happy to hear your family will be extending the Disney magic by adding extra days there too!
I highly recommend that you call Disney Cruise Lines's agents at (800) 951-3532 to add the
optional Cruise Ground Transfers to your cruise reservation. Talk about easy! We do this every time we stay at the Disney Resorts before sailing and Disney takes care of all of the details for us! We receive a note in our resort room the night before we set sail letting us know what time the cruise motorcoach will pick us up at our resort (usually between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m). It also gives instructions for sending ahead checked luggage, which is usually picked up directly from our resort room earlier that morning. We then spend the rest of the morning enjoying a leisurely breakfast and more exploring and shopping at our resort before boarding the motorcoach for the hour-long ride to the port. The kids love the Disney videos playing onboard and we are soon arriving at the port for our cruise!
After the cruise, the optional ground transfers then take us back to the airport. I love that we can participate in
onboard airline check-in and then just board the bus and off we go to the airport. It's a great way to end a magical adventure at sea! The current cost is $35 per person each way, but it's worth every penny to add those ground transfers to your cruise, Freedy! You'll be all set to relax and let Disney do the driving!
Have such fun!
