Do I have to be staying at a WDW resort in order to book a character dining event? I'm thinking about staying at the Dolphin Resort, but want to dine with the Disney princesses. Also, can you book the character dining before booking anything else?

Hi Carrie, Anyone is welcome to reserve character dining experiences. You don't have to be staying on Disney property to do so. Character meals, as well as most other meals, can be booked up to 180 days in advance. You can reserve meals before you have your hotel reservation on after, there's no particular order this needs to happen in.. If you have your heart set on a princess meal, then you should definitely book as close to the 180 day mark as you can. Good luck!
