When staying at WDW and we purchase the refillable mugs, are they only refiillable at the hotels or can we fill them up in the parks as well? We are going to spending most days in the parks and I just wanted to know fi was going to be worth it to purchase

There are signs posted at all the mug refill stations in the resorts that state that the refillable mugs may only be used at the resort for which they were purchased during the stay in which they were purchased. There are no mug refill stations in the four main theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios).

There are different refillable mugs that may be purchased at the water parks. These have bar codes on them that must be scanned to activate the fountain machines. The bar codes accepted change daily.

The "worth it" question can only be answered by you. Some of the resorts have the beverage refill stations in more convenient locations than others, which could make a difference. The answer also depends on how much of a coffee or fountain soda drinker you are, how much time you'll be spending each day at your hotel, and the length of your WDW vacation.
