Ahoy, Melissa!
Your land, sea, land vacation sounds amazing! I love sandwiching a magical voyage between stays at the Walt Disney World Resort, so I know your crew is going to have an incredible time exploring both the parks and ship on your Disney adventure.
When you plan a vacation with three segments, you'll need to be organized when it comes to packing for each part. Unfortunately, your resort will not be able to store your luggage during the cruise portion of your trip. But, that is not something to stress about at all because I have some tips that I think will work out perfectly. First, have you purchased
Disney Cruise Line transportation to and from the port? If so, the Cast and Crew Members are going to do a lot of the heavy lifting for you since luggage pick-up is available on the morning of your cruise from your resort room, and luggage delivery is available from the ship back to the resort. If you have not already added this to your reservation, I highly recommend it because it will be a seamless transition from land to sea and back.
The other good news is that the under the bed storage aboard Disney Cruise Line is so spacious even to those of us who belong to the Overpacker's Club (that would be me!). I would pack your first night's stay along with your cruise clothes in the same bags and then the clothes for your return trip in separate bags. I would have a bag that contains things for both such as toiletries and bathing suits. Also, I've recently discovered storage cubes and have found them to be so valuable when packing my family for trips of any length! They save so much space and force me to be super organized with a set of different colored bags for each family member.
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Melissa! Please keep us posted with any further questions.
