We will be staying in WDW one night before our cruise in Sept. We would like to be close to DTD so we could enjoy that since we won't be going to any of the parks. Which resort would you suggest for a one night visit? I'm considering POR or POFQ but open

    Hello Terri,

I think it's always a wise decision to come in a day ahead of your cruise.  There are no worries about flight arrival times and you can just kick back and relax before the drive to the port.  My choice for a resort that is close to Downtown Disney is Disney's Saratoga Springs.  If you choose a room in the Congress Park area of that resort, you are just a short walk away from Downtown Disney.  It's just a hop, skip and a jump over the bridge and you're there.

You also can't go wrong with Disney's Port Orleans Riverside or Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter.  Both resorts have complimentary water taxis to the Downtown Disney Area.  I love this location for the laid back atmosphere and it just might be what you need to get you in the cruise mood.

    Bon Voyage,
