Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joanne! Planning ahead for a trip to Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays is essential, and if you're going to celebrate
New Year's Eve in the theme parks, you are wise to think about making dining reservations.
Epcot would be my top choice to ring in the New Year because you can literally celebrate around the world! Although official menus have not yet been released, several locations around World Showcase offered a pre-set holiday menu on December 31 last year, including
La Hacienda de San Angel and
Monsieur Paul. Also, the World Showplace Pavillion often has a New Year's Eve Dinner buffet with a variety of soups and salads, fish, chicken, and turkey breast plus sides and a dessert station. Since you are almost within your 180-day booking window, I'd recommend calling Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463 to see if they have further information.
If you have a sweet tooth, then a
Fireworks Dessert Party will be the cherry on top of your day at Magic Kingdom Park! Choosing this option would ensure a great view of the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks, which will be shown at 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM on December 30 and 31. Reservations can be made through the Walt Disney World website.
If you'd rather an elegant, all-inclusive event, then look no further than
Disney's Contemporary Resort, where they will have two New Year's Eve celebrations;
Pixar Party: A New Year's Celebration and
Disney Countdown to Midnight: A New Year's Eve Celebration. Guests wanting a special VIP treatment can add the
Disney Ink & Paint Club reception to their celebrations.
I hope your New Year's trip is a blast, Joanne!
