We are staying at WDW in Feb 2013 and bought the Disney Dining Plan (1 snack, 1 QS, 1 table service). Is it possible to exchange a dinner dessert credit for an appetizer or a salad? I don't really need dessert after dinner every day!

    Hi Cara,

The official answer to this is no. And in most cases you will not be able to exchange a dessert for another meal component. However, it never hurts to ask. Once in a while you will find a sympathetic cast member who is willing to bend the rules, but this is not something that you should expect.

Some desserts at WDW are fairly light and healthy. You can often ask for fresh fruit as a dessert off menu and this will be provided. Also, some desserts can be boxed up to take with you. This might allow you to have a piece of dessert cake for breakfast the next morning.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
