Hi. We are staying at WDW Dec21-28 , with dining plan. Since I can only go to 1 park per day, does that mean I have to make reservations for meals only at the park I plan to be in that day? Can I visit MK followed by dinner at Epcot for ex? Thanks !!

    Hi, Valasis!

A visit to Walt Disney World is such a magical way to celebrate the holiday week!

Unless you add the Park Hopper option onto your base tickets, you would not be able to enter more than one park per day. This does mean that you would need to make reservations to dine at restaurants located within the park you are planning to visit that day. So if you'd like to dine at one of the many restaurants located in World Showcase at Epcot, then I recommend planning your itinerary so that you'll be touring the park that same day.

Another option is to dine at a nearby Disney Resort hotel (since park admission is not a factor). Some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World are actually located at the Resort hotels! My family loves dining at the Resorts because it's typically a calmer, more relaxing experience than dining in the parks. You'll find that most of the Resort restaurants accept the Disney Dining Plans.

It may be helpful to keep in mind that you can enter and exit the same theme park as many times as you would like on the same day. For example, when my family visits Magic Kingdom, we often like to leave the park for lunch and head over to Disney's Polynesian Resort to dine at Kona Cafe. When we're finished dining, we do some shopping in the Great Ceremonial House and take a stroll around the beautiful grounds before returning to Magic Kingdom in the late afternoon. When we're visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we enjoy having dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge (which is just a few minutes away by bus, car or taxi). A bonus is getting to view all the native African wildlife on the Resort's savannas!

I hope this helps, Valasis! Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any other questions as you continue to plan your trip.

Wishing you a simply magical visit during the holiday season!
