Will be staying at WD on 9/27-10/3 w/water park & more, no hoppers. Should I take advantage of EMH or avoid those parks?

    Hi Christina,

Just a couple more months now, I bet you can hardly wait! The Extra Magic Hours, available to Disney World resort guests, are a great opportunity to squeeze in a few more hours of park time and enjoy some of your favorite attractions. They tend to be very popular and the parks that are having these hours do tend to be more crowded than usual. The funny thing is, many guests do not arrive at the park until later in the morning when the Magic Hours have actually stopped. By lunch time you can easily notice an increase in the crowds.

Typically I suggest arriving at the Extra Magic park right at the opening and spending a few hours enjoying the park. Once the crowd increases, we then hop over to another park and usually find we have gotten not only extra time at one park, but avoided most of the crowds by moving to another park. Given the fact that you do not have the park hopper option on your pass, I would recommend avoiding the Extra Magic Park of the day. You will most likely find that the extra things you accomplish in that hour or two does not make up for the larger crowds you will deal with as the day goes on.

On a side note, we have often found that the park that had Extra Magic Hours the evening before, is not as crowded the next day. Wishing you a wonderful and magical trip!
