Hello, Jo, and thank you for your question.
Guests who are staying at any of the deluxe villas, including
Disney's Old Key West resort, and NOT staying on
Disney Vacation Club points, get daily mousekeeping and trash removal services. You'll enjoy the same service you would at any of the Walt Disney World resort hotels - dusting, vacumming, fresh towels, and the trash cans emptied. How's that for a real vacation?
Tipping is a very personal thing, but it's something we do. I appreciate the mousekeeping services at Walt Disney World so much. The general rule of thumb is $1-$2 per person, per day of your stay. I always recommend that if you are going to tip, do it daily as opposed to at the end of your stay. You may not have the same mousekeeper each day of your stay, and it's nice to recognize the people who are actually making your stay a bit more magical.
And since you're staying at Disney's Old Key West resort, I think one of the hidden dining gems at Walt Disney World is
Olivia's Cafe. Key West at it's best, this laid back and casual dining location has some of my family's all time favorite meals. Banana bread french toast for breakfast with coconut cream topping is number one on my daughter's list as the best breakfast on planet Earth, and my husband could eat the seafood stew on the dinner menu every night of vacation. and be a very happy guy.
Enjoy a wonderful vacation, Jo!
