If you are staying various days at the park and you want an ECV, how do you rent it?

Welcome to planDisney, Berta! I am happy to help you get ready for a day filled with magic at the Disneyland Resort.

Comfort plays a big part in making the most of your visit, especially if you’ll be exploring the parks over multiple days. Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) and wheelchairs can absolutely help you pace yourself in a way that feels both enjoyable and manageable. At the Disneyland Resort, these are available for rent at the mobility rental location situated just outside the entrances to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. This makes it very convenient, since you’ll pick up your ECV before scanning into the parks, and return it in the same spot when you’re done for the day. It’s important to know that these rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Because quantities are limited, I recommend arriving just before park opening to secure your rental. (Think of it as your first “attraction” of the day).

Now, since you mentioned being at the resort over multiple days, another option may suit your needs even better. If you are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels, ScooterBug is a private rental provider that offers length-of-stay rentals for ECVs, wheelchairs, and strollers. You can reserve your ECV before your arrival and schedule it to be delivered directly to your hotel. This means you’ll have access to it throughout your trip, including around the hotel and Downtown Disney. Many Guests appreciate the consistency of having the same ECV each day (and not needing to arrive early each morning to secure one).

As you enjoy your time in the parks, remember to build in restful moments. Disneyland has beautiful little pockets of calm if you know where to look. The patio near Stage Door Café in Frontierland is lovely because it offers shade and a view of the Rivers of America. Over in Fantasyland, the seating area near Edelweiss Snacks provides a quiet place to enjoy the sound of the park. And if you're in Disney California Adventure, the benches near Grizzly River Run are surrounded by pines and make you feel like you’ve stepped into a national park.

Berta, I hope this helps you feel confident and comfortable planning your visit. If you’d like suggestions tailored to your schedule, pace, or interests, please visit us again at planDisney. We’d be delighted to continue helping you.

Wishing you a smooth, joyful, and comfortable Disneyland day filled with magic and happy memories.
