We are staying at a Value Resort & dont want to deal with the hassle (or expense) of renting a car. We have made DRs restaurants that are not within the theme parks - what will be the best way to get there without renting a car?

I have been to WDW dozens of times and have only rented a car twice. I find the Disney transportation system to be very efficient.

To get to a meal reservation in a resort, you'll need to use one of the theme parks or Downtown Disney as a transfer hub. For example, if you wanted to go from the All Star Music Resort to the Contemporary for a meal at Chef Mickey's, you would first get on a bus from the ASM to the Magic Kingdom. At the MK you can transfer to the monorail to the Contemporary. When doing something like this, you'll want to choose the theme park closest to your destination as your transfer point.

You should also know that taxis are widely available at WDW. When it is particularly late or the kids are particularly tired, we do occasionally take a taxi home from a meal rather than using the Disney transportation.
