We'll be staying at the Tree House villas for a week next February. I am concerned about the buses and time it takes to get to the parks. Would it be better to rent a car and get around ourselves? TIA!

    Hi Sarah,

If you're staying at the Treehouse Villas, then I would absolutely 100% recommend that you rent a car. I've stayed at the THV myself. They're one of the coziest hotel venues in all of Walt Disney World. The treehouses themselves are super cute and a wonderful choice for larger traveling parties.

But you are correct that transportation from there can be a challenge. In many instances, you'll have to wait for a bus from the treehouse to the main Saratoga Springs building. And from SS, then you'll have to wait for a bus to the parks. If you're going to another resort (for a character meal, for example), you might have to wait for still another bus to get you from the park to the destination resort. For me, that's just too much waiting. With a car, you'll go directly where you want to, whenever you want to.

In my opinon, there are WDW resorts where you can get away with not having a car, but the THV is not one of them.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
