    If staying at the Swan when would it make the most sense to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's? On our way to which theme park? Would Tuskers House at AK be just as fun since it is inside an actual park we are visiting? I worry Contemporary will be a hassle.

    Hi Eleanore! You're wise to be thinking about the convenience of restaurants to the parks! Scheduling meals close by or inside the parks you're visiting ensures that you won't be spending much of your vacation traveling around Walt Disney World instead of enjoying the attractions.

    Chef Mickey's is extremely close to the Magic Kingdom, and it opens at 7 a.m. so it's a great spot to have breakfast before heading into the Magic Kingdom. You could take a bus to the Magic Kingdom from the Swan and then walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary for breakfast. After breakfast, just hop on the monorail and you'll be at the Magic Kingdom in a jiffy!

    You're right that Tusker House is a very convenient place for breakfast on the day you're visiting Animal Kingdom since it's inside the park. It's near the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, so as soon as you're finished eating, you can start enjoying the park right away. 

    Both Tusker House and Chef Mickey's are fun character breakfasts that are quite convenient to parks. Tusker House is a bit more convenient since you don't have to spend a few minutes entering the park after you dine, but Chef Mickey's has a high energy level that I think is unparalleled at other character meals. If I were you, I'd base my decision on the characters my kids want to see the most. At Tusker House you'll usually meet Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy, while at Chef Mickey's you'll often see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald. Either way, you're going to have a great time!
