    We are staying at the Swan resort in Disney World. Since the resort is not operated by Disney, what options are available for using the magic bands for purchases in the park instead of carrying a credit card? Thank you! ~Mary

    Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm so glad you stopped in to see us.

    I love staying in a resort that's located on Walt Disney World property. The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel is a beautiful property in close proximity to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios that is owned by the Marriott hotel chain. 

    Unfortunately, MagicBand charging privileges are only extended to those guests staying in a Walt Disney World-owned resort hotel. The Swan and Dolphin hotels do not apply in this case.

    I recommend Disney Gift Cards as an alternative to using MagicBands inside the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.  Wireless payments such as Apple Pay are also available as an option in most areas.

    Alternately, check out the Special Offers page and maybe you'll find a fantastic deal in a resort that's on Disney property for your upcoming visit.
