Hi Molly!
Welcome to planDisney!
The Swan has such an amazing location when it comes to quickly getting to Epcot (and Hollywood Studios)…you’re going to love it!
In order to enter a park, even if you’re just popping in for dinner, you’ll need a park ticket. And if you plan to visit more than one park in a day, you’ll need to add the
Park Hopper Option onto your ticket.
With such a great location like the Swan, it could end up being very beneficial to have a park hopper. My absolute favorite location to stay at Disney World is in the Crescent Lake area (where the Swan is!), and one of the main reasons for that is because I can easily head over to Epcot to enjoy our evenings. Whenever I stay in that area, it’s a big priority for me to have a park hopper just because of that!
If you decide to forgo Epcot on your arrival day, there are quite a few amazing restaurant options in the area you’re staying. My husband and I really enjoyed
Todd English’s bluezoo at the Swan, and I’ve heard great things about
Rosa Mexicano.
If you want to venture away from your resort, I highly recommend
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Yacht Club for a fancier option or
Beaches & Cream at Beach Club for a fun, laid-back vibe. You can even hop on the Skyliner and head over to Riviera.
Topolino’s Terrace and
Bar Riva are two of my favorite restaurants!
Finally, the
Boardwalk really comes to life at night with incredible performers. It’s definitely worth checking out that area at some point during your trip since you’re staying right next door!
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your trip!
