We are staying at the Swan Dolphin, how long will it take to take the shuttle and get into Magic Kingdom? We will have a car, are we better off driving and parking? How long should we plan for that to take by the time we're inside?

    Mirjam,

The Swan and Dolphin use the standard Disney bus transportation system, so you should find it to be pretty reliable.

The bus ride to the Magic Kingdom should take about 20 to 25 minutes, but remember that the wait time could be up to 20 minutes as well. On the positive side, when you arrive you are a quick walk in.

Now if you drive, you certainly will speed up your travel time. Since you don't have to wait for the bus, you could save 10 to 15 minutes off of your worst case scenario where the wait is the full 20 minutes. But the trip, including transfers from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom by boat launch or monorail should bring your total travel time in this instance to about 30 minutes.

Personally, I would still take the bus, but I would say that for the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom you probably will find that taking the car can be a good time saver, and a nice convenience. But with Hollywood Studios and Epcot I would definitely use the boat launches.

I hope that this helps? Write me back if you have any follow-up questions. I stay at the Swan and Dolphin quite often, and am glad to help!

    Have a magical vacation!
