    We are staying at All Star Sports from 9/13-9/19 and are wondering how long is the bus ride to the 4 parks and downtown disney area? Is it worth taking a taxi?

    Hi Hillary,

    I always use the free Disney transport to get around Walt Disney World, it's normally pretty quick and I don't like paying taxi fares. Saying that though catching a taxi will almost always be quicker as buses tend to run every 20 minutes so you will often need to wait for them.

    Here are the approximate times from your resort All-Star Sports using the Disney buses -

    • Magic Kingdom - 20 minutes
    • Epcot - 10 minutes
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - 10 minutes
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom - 10 minutes
    • Downtown Disney - 15 minutes

    The taxis that are mainly used at WDW are owned by Mears, if you go to the taxi section on their website there is a great tool there called Fare Estimator. Here you can put in your destination and it will give you a rough price so you can decide which will be the best mode of transport for your family during your trip.
