Welcome to planDisney, Cherie!
Thanks for stopping by to bring us your question! I am so excited you’re getting ready for a magical stay inside one of
Walt Disney World Resort’s Collection hotels. Staying inside the magic has so many
added benefits, and my personal favorite is being able to turn on vacation mode as soon as you set foot inside the magic, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day. I hope you’re excited to dive into the magic so soon!
Cherie, because you’re staying at
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, you’ll have access to all the pools and water play areas at the Disney Resort hotel where you are staying.
Pool hopping is generally not permitted at Walt Disney World Resort. This includes pools and splash pads at other Disney Resort hotels, such as Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. These amenities are reserved for Guests staying at that specific resort, and Cast Members may check for a MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or Disney MagicMobile pass to confirm your resort stay. So while that Finding Nemo–themed splash area at Art of Animation is adorable and very tempting, it is typically only available to Guests staying there.
Now, here’s a little silver lining.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has its own fun pool areas, including the Surfboard Bay Pool, which is perfect for cooling off and keeping the kids entertained. And if you’re looking for an extra splash of magic, you could consider visiting Art of Animation and exploring the larger-than-life theming around the resort. You could even plan a dinner at
Landscape of Flavors one night. While that won’t grant pool access, it’s still a really fun way to experience the vibe and snap some great photos.
Cherie, you’re going to have such a fun stay, and those resort pool breaks are truly part of the magic. If you want help picking the best “rest day” ideas or hidden gems around your resort, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us. We’re always hEAR and happy to help!
See ya real soon! ~Emille
